In July, Nexum held our first annual Summer Summit event. It was a wonderful opportunity to get a significant portion of the company together in Chicago to reconnect, learn, and have a lot of fun. Hats off to the Nexum Marketing team for putting together a truly flawless event (two years of isolation certainly hasn’t taken away their mojo)!
We opened our Summer Summit week with a New Partner Cruise to bring us together with our newest technology partners. Then we had two days of Team Nexum presentations and presentations from some of our featured partners. We closed the week with our Summer Summit Party to bring together all of our partners and local customers for networking, dinner, and drinks overlooking Chicago’s Grant Park.
The events were a chance to energize the team around Nexum’s long-standing value statement, “Do what’s right for the customer, and success will follow.” We also celebrated our anniversary of 20 years in security. Out of curiosity, I researched well-known security manufacturers and was surprised how many are less than 20 years old. Nexum was ahead of its time in recognizing the need for strong security, and we will strive to retain this leadership position for years to come.
What can you expect from Nexum moving forward? Certainly, more of the same services and technical expertise we’ve always provided, but also a greater focus on the three key pillars of our strategy:
- Security is overly complex and doesn’t need to be that way. We will continue to make security easier for our customers while making it easier to work with us.
- We believe Nexum must have a leadership role in moving our industry forward and consistently providing value to our customers (not just when actively engaged in a project). To that end, you’ll see more blogs, more speaking engagements, more participation in regional and national events, and more everything!
- You’re only as good as your last engagement. Every engagement must be delivered with excellence and the consistent quality you have come to expect from Nexum.
To our many customers and partners, thank you for your loyalty and support of Nexum. During our internal presentations and discussions, one of my colleagues put it best when they said, “As a privately held, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Nexum has the privilege of putting our customers first where many competitors put their shareholders first.” We will continue to work hard every day to earn and retain your trust.
