Peter Maag came to Nexum with a dual background in network engineering and web systems administration. His focus over the last three years has been in system design, consolidation and network integration security for a leading global law firm. With previous networking and system administration experience at startups such as AlcheME and IQLabs, he has the ability to take advantage of innovation and emergent technologies to realize organizational goals and objectives. Peter has a deep understanding of networked security systems, load balancing and switching technologies, and a particular focus on enterprise DNS load balancing and security.

In 2007 Peter led the team that won the Legal Technology Project of the Year award at his employer, a top-10 global law firm, the first ever technology award given at the firm. His work on that project focused on a global centralization and consolidation initiative in the network and server space.
From that project and subsequent large-scale security integration projects, he has developed an in-depth knowledge of various WAN acceleration, security and consolidation products such as Riverbed¹s Steelhead Appliance, F5 Networks Global Traffic Manager, and VMware¹s virtualization and consolidation portfolio. At Nexum, Peter is tasked with providing Nexum¹s clients with exceptional problem-solving abilities that contribute to identifying and correcting the clients¹ most complicated technical problems.
